Driving with Britannia
Get your taxi license
To drive with Britannia you need a license from your local council and an approved Level 2 qualification. Learn how to get a license and get qualified with our free “Drive Now” information, where we will help you to become a driver and start earning as soon as possible.

What are the requirements to drive with Britannia?
You must have a valid UK drivers license and held this for at least one year, have an in date Private Hire or Hackney Licensing badge from one of the following authorities; Knowsley, St Helens, Sefton, Wigan, Liverpool, Halton or Wolverhampton.

Do I need my own vehicle?
No you don’t. If you want to drive with Britannia but you don’t have a car, we can set you up with our vehicle partner Brook Car Hire. We will set you up and have you on the road on the same day in a maintained, qualified and insured vehicle. Further documents will apply for insurance purposes.
